VINBasic is a simple and efficient solution for basic VIN-referenced data. This file includes VIN, year, make, model, trim, and any of the optional datapoints in the table listed below, for US Consumer and Light duty commercial vehicles 1981-present. It is the ideal solution for performing VIN validation, or for decoding vehicles to their most basic level. The single-file solution allows for rapid integration into a single database table, or can be accessed using Microsoft Excel (or similar) for manual validation work.
